What's the impact?

As you’ve read, obstacles of poverty like hunger, lack of education, no access to medical care and sub-standard housing, limit the choices of children in developing countries and prevent them from being able to dream, let alone see those dreams becoming a reality.

Your sponsorship changes the course of poverty

Your sponsorship changes that – it gives them choices. Sponsorship not only provides help with their education, but also provides other benefits your student may need – food, clothing, shoes, uniforms, medical care, and family assistance like housing repairs and skills training.

Your sponsorship creates a ripple effect in your friend’s family and community – it gives them, their family and other children in their community reason to hope, and reason to dream. They see that change really is possible.

You get something, too

And, you learn from the experience … you get to personally know one person who lives in a developing country. They really will become your friend, because you’ll write each other letters, and send pictures, and you could even go visit them on one of our mission trips!

Your friend needs your encouragement ... write to them!

Your encouragement is an important part of sponsorship, too. In addition to raising the money to help your friend go to school, we’re counting on you to write to them and tell them that you care – that you and your friends are rooting for them. You know how good you feel when somebody tells you they believe in you? Well, that’s important to these kids, too.
