Sponsorship not only provides help with education, but also provides other benefits your student may need – food, clothing, shoes, uniforms, medical care, and family assistance like housing repairs and skills training.
Your sponsorship creates a ripple effect in your friend’s family and community – it gives them a reason to hope, and reason to dream. They see that change really is possible.
And, you learn from the experience. You get to personally know one person who lives in a developing country. You really will become friends, because you'll write each other letters, and send pictures, and you could even go visit them on one of our mission awareness trips!
