About us
Walk with the Poor is a movement within the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA). Walk with the Poor focuses on helping youth and their families rise out of poverty through sponsorship of school-aged youth.
We believe the youth of the world, working together, can end extreme poverty, and we want to give you a clear, easy way to begin to help do that. That's why we started the Walk with the Poor campaign, and everything you see on this Web site.
When we walk with someone, we listen, we share our hopes and dreams, and we see each other as friends and equals. When we walk with the poor, we share our lives with bright, talented, hard-working, capable individuals who, because of where they live, lack the resources they need to be able to develop their full potential on their own and use their talents to make the world a better place.
CFCA is a sponsorship organization headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas, and working in 23 economically developing countries around the world. We’ve been around since 1981, and currently have more than 300,000 sponsored children, youth and aging in developing countries and nearly 275,000 sponsors who encourage and support them. The sponsors mainly live in the U.S.
